“Where are Our Knights”
Our council has 120 Brother Knights in our official membership roster, yet we see only a few dozen on a regular basis. There are many opportunities that we already have to visit with our Brothers through including Council Meeting, Breakfast Buffets, Potluck Socials, donation drives along with the many other times when we are together. Even more importantly, we can easily reach out to our Knights at the celebration of the weekly Masses and other happenings within our Parish.
To keep our Council more engaged in reaching out, there are several other ways that we can focus on:
Communications
- E-mail: Will continue to send out the Council Meeting Agendas and special notices over the Internet. We realize that many of our Brothers may not use E-mail regularly so we are supplementing this with other approaches.
– The Confider: In addition to publishing the Confider on our Website, we will print and mail the Confider to the homes of all our Knights monthly. Many have requested that we do this and so we shall. However, if you are able to access the website and e-mail and do not require a mailed copy, please let us know to save on the effort and expense to do so.
– Council Website: Through the efforts of Brothers Rick Harper and Jim Rafter, among others, we now have our website up and running:
-KofC-OMC.org. Please visit the site regularly to read the Confider, review the Council Agenda and see exciting information about Council activities. Please feel free to contribute at any time.
– Calling Tree: Brother Dan Doyle is working to develop a calling tree whereby we can more easily reach our Brothers by phone. Please let him know you will participate, it only requires minimal time. Further, please reach out each month to call our Brothers that are having birthdays and wish them well and see if we can do anything for them. Names are in the Confider and on the Website.
